Omar Ahmed, M.D.

Dr. Omar Ahmed is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgical specialist. He is extensively trained and skilled at his craft with more than 21 years of experience and unique expertise in both cosmetic surgery, as well as reconstructive hand surgery. With Dr. Ahmed, patients can trust that they are in excellent hands as he is known for his detailed technique, compassionate demeanor, and an open and honest approach to surgery and care.
He consistently goes above and beyond to provide high-quality care and help his patients make the best possible recoveries. Dr. Ahmed is proud to be a member of both the American Society of Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Hand Surgery.
Dr. Ahmed earned his undergraduate degree at the University of California, Los Angeles, followed by completing medical school in 1999 at Baqui Medical University in Pakistan. After that, he returned to the U.S. to complete his internship in general surgery at the University of Tennessee in Memphis, TN, followed by a general surgery residency at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in El Paso, TX. In 2006, he went on to expand his training with a fellowship in hand and microvascular surgery at Kleinert Institute in Louisville, KY, followed by gaining additional training in plastic and reconstructive surgery at Medical College of Georgia from 2008 – 2010.
Dr. Ahmed performs specialized surgery to delicately treat many different conditions. He is distinctly experienced in treating complex cases, as well as secondary reconstruction procedures. In addition, Dr. Ahmed performs many different cosmetic surgeries to create beautiful aesthetic outcomes for the face, body, and breasts.
